We bought our bikes and panniers at Wilson Backcountry Sports in Wilson, WY, and got lots of support and encouragement. www.wilsonbackcountry.com
Tires, fenders and moral support came from Fitzgerald’s in Jackson, WY. www.fitzgeraldsbikes.com

are your bikes basically stock, and if so, was the gearing adequte for you?
Hi Mike,
Both of our bikes were stock. I did have my small chain ring replaced with a smaller one so I could climb those Rocky Mountains, but otherwise, neither of us made changes to our gearing, which was quite adequate for us. You should evaluate your fitness level and your route to determine if stock gearing will work for you. Happy Trails.
